Usable Glasses Give New Life

Refractive errors can be easily corrected with eyeglasses, yet millions living in low- and middle-income countries lack access to basic eye care services. Lions have recognized the urgent need for corrective lenses and collect usable glasses in their communities to support the Lions Recycle For Sight Program.

DeWitt Noon Lions Eyeglasses Recycling Program

You will see the familiar Lions Club International Eyeglasses Recycling Boxes all over town. Local retailers, medical/professional offices, and various places of worship support our Eyeglasses Recycling and have collection boxes prominently displayed. Simply drop your unneeded eyeglasses into a box and we’ll do the rest. Please only place eyeglasses in the recycling boxes. Only prescription glasses please (no “drug store readers”) and no sunglasses.

You can also place unneeded hearing aids into these boxes, and we will ensure that they get to the Lions Hearing Aid recycling program. Please no cases or extraneous items – just the hearing aids.
